Spero Child International is a non-profit and non-discriminatory Organization with a dynamic, passionate, and committed team that was established in 2019 to empower vulnerable populations and advocate for their rights with unified approaches for improved livelihood.

Our service delivery is coined around peer-to-peer approach through awareness creation and behavioral change communication strategies; community engagement and empowerment; demand creation for health, social, legal-aid, and education services; advocacy; strategic partnership; capacity building and referral network. Our activities are centered in South Western Uganda.

To sensitize and empower vulnerable populations including their communities and advocate for increased equal opportunities for enhanced empowerment, participation, and protection of their rights with a special focus on children, adolescents, women, and persons with disabilities.

Our Objectives

  • To promote health, social, and economic inclusion of vulnerable populations through enhancing quality service delivery and advocacy campaigns/programs.
  • To promote equity and inclusivity of research among vulnerable populations
  • To empower vulnerable populations in advocating for environmental justice
  • To partner with other relevant organizations in resource mobilization and other programs that address vulnerable populations' needs, problems, and concerns.
  • To establish a standardised rehabilitation, educational and innovation centers that will identify and provide solutions to the problems of vulnerable populations.

Occupational Therapist
Helps in supporting children living with disabilities to overcome the effects of decreased functioning caused by illness, ageing and/or accident so that they can carry out everyday tasks or occupations, be it physical, psychological, social and environmental.
Francis Orishaba

Francis Orishaba

Public Relations
He's a Board member and incharge of public relations, planning publicity strategies, and campaigns. Writing and producing presentations and press releases. Dealing with enquiries from the public, the press, and related organisations as well as organising events.

Health

We promote inclusion of health needs of vulnerable populations through service provision and advocacy programs that are tailored to their specific needs.

Research

This program area focuses on promoting equity and inclusivity of research for vulnerable populations. This will help identify the needs, problems, and concerns affecting the vulnerable populations, hence improving their way of life.

Innovations

This focuses on addressing the new technologies that aim at improving the well-being of vulnerable populations.
